Slaying Dragons: Undragoned

1. What dragon stood out to you the most in this series? Pride, Greed, Wrath, Envy, Lust, Gluttony or Sloth? What has been your biggest takeaway from this series?

2. What genre of books do you prefer to read? (fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, etc.) Do you prefer books or movies? When a book is made into a movie, which do you find is better? Share some examples. (Jurassic Park, Lord of the Rings, etc.)

3. In the message Garry shared this quote: ‘When we’re born we look like our parents. When we die we look like our choices’. Do you agree or disagree, and why?

4. In the message Garry shared the story of Eustace from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. In what ways can you relate to the story of Eustace?

5. Read 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. What stands out to you in these verses?

6. Although we are made new (“undragoned”) there are times when the ‘old dragon in us’ will rear its ugly head. In the book, C.S. Lewis put it this way: “It would be nice, and fairly true, to say that ‘from that time forth Eustace was a different boy’. To be strictly accurate, he began to be a different boy. He had relapses. There were still many days when he could be very tiresome. But most of those I shall not notice. The cure had begun.” How does that encourage you?

If you haven’t already done it, pray and ask Jesus to ‘undragon’ you. If you take that step, let Garry, Russ or Peter know so we can celebrate the new you and help you with your next steps on your journey with Jesus.
