Waste Management: Wasted Talent

1. Who do you think of when you think of wasted talent? (actor/actress, athlete, acquaintance, friend, etc.) What do you think makes wasted talent or potential so devastating? 

2. Read Matthew 25:14-30. What are your initial reactions to this story Jesus told? 

3. What is the fundamental problem with the third servant’s attitude toward the master? What’s your view of God? Where did that view come from? In what ways does your view of God impact your relationship with him?

4. What do you know God has entrusted to you? How are you doing with managing that? 

5. Read Philippians 1:20-21. Paul wants to live his life in such a way so that if people looked at him they would see Jesus because Jesus was the most important thing to him. If a stranger observed your life for one month what would they conclude is most important to you? Who would they conclude is most important to you?
